Harp: “Neck, Column and Soundboard-Making the Strings Ring”
Carmen Bonnell

Course Description:
Learn the basics that will get you started on any harp.  Body mechanics and attention to technique will allow you to play with grace and control, while avoiding injury.  Decoding harp and general music symbols will allow you to apply your knowledge outside the classroom. Note-reading and chord symbols will be covered, as well as caring for your instrument. No previous experience is necessary.

Bio:
Carmen Bonnell has been teaching private and group harp lessons since 1990.  Her students have ranged in age from five to seventy-five; several have established their own careers as teachers and performers. Carmen and her husband, Dean, opened The Enchanted Harp in Puyallup, WA in 1992, where it still provides instruments, accessories and music under ownership of her sister.  Carmen performs commercially on, both, Celtic and classical harps, as well as the violin and voice.
