Flat-pick Guitar: “ Develop Your Flat-pick Lead Guitar”

Course Description:
Participants will explore all aspects of Flat-pick Style Guitar; this style is commonly recognized in Old-Time and Bluegrass music. Topics covered will include 1) Establishing strong rhythm 2) Incorporating bass runs into your rhythm and 3) Development of lead guitar from the Mother Maybelle style through single note lines and cross picking.
Bio:
Dan Delancey has been playing guitar a great part of his life with earliest influence for the recordings of Doc Watson. Dan’s achievements include many contest titles in the flat-pick style. He was profiled by Flat-picking Guitar Magazine (Nov/Dec 1997 and July/Aug 2001); in addition, FGM has featured one of Dan’s many arrangements on their Flat-picking ’98 CD. Dan Miller, FGM editor, calls Dan a “master arranger”.
