Music: “Beginning/Intermediate Guitar and Mandolin”

Course Description:
Mandolin and guitar students will learn basic playing techniques, notes and some tablature reading skills and work to play in an ensemble fashion. Course emphasis will be on learning to read on one’s instrument and making music in-group settings.
Bio:
Doug Back is a noted teacher and performer of classical guitar and mandolin. He directs a full time fretted instruments program at Baldwin Arts and Academics Magnet School and is also director at the Montgomery Fretted Orchestra (a mandolin and guitar ensemble of 20 members). In 2006, he won the CMSA mandolin championship and has also toured internationally as a classical guitarist.
