Painting: “Decorative Painting for Potters & Other Artists”
S. Renee Prasil

Course Description:
This class will provide basic decorative painting techniques useful to every student. Work with water based paints and a variety of papers to make your own book for future reference. Basic design principles and some color theory will be discussed. Students will learn techniques suitable for use on pottery, tiles, fabrics, walls, canvas, furniture and more. Bisqued clay tile will be provided for final expressions.

Bio:
S. Renee Prasil is an award winning artist, an art educator, and advocate. She develops original concept art classes for all ages and activities for organizations such as the Huntsville Museum of Art and Huntsville Art League to name a couple. Prasil has also began the Art Ministry at Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL as well as an arts program for disabled adults and children in North Alabama with VSArts Alabama. Her art ranges in everything from painting to clay and her art can be seen in many corporate and private collections across the US including for AT&T/ Bellsouth and the home of Governor Bob and Patsy Riley.
