We are the camp and conference center for the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Alabama. Since 1948, people of all faiths and backgrounds have used our facilities to rest, learn, grow, worship, and play. Camp McDowell is "God's Backyard."

When you see our beautiful 1100+ acres of forests, canyons, and waterfalls; and once you experience our facilities, service, and events you will understand why Camp McDowell is such an important place to so many people.
We have an excellent residential summer camp program and an adventure camping program (VENTURE OUT!). The Camp McDowell Environmental Center and Feathers in Focus (Raptor Program) provide outstanding environmental education for thousands of students every year.

The Episcopal Church offers many programs and events here to meet your spiritual needs. Our comfortable, beautiful lodges and rustic cabins are available for use by groups who are educational or religious in purpose.

Please travel our website and find out more about Camp McDowell. Come visit us in person soon!
