Feathers in Focus is ... an environmental education program designed to get students excited about wildlife, the environment and conservation. Feathers in Focus is ... a traveling program. In an effort to expose all students in Alabama to creative environmental education we will visit you in your classroom. Feathers in Focus is ... an interactive education experience. What better way to learn about a creature than to be in its awesome presence! Feathers in Focus is ... FUN! Using raptors that were injured and can no longer be released into the wild, trained staff teach students about the birds, adaptations, habitats, and conservation. During a Feathers in Focus program students of all ages may come up with some wild and zany adaptations to turn one of their human counterparts into birds of prey. This program lasts up to one hour and can be varied according to your needs. Topics of discussion also can be varied according to what you may be studying or are most interested in.
