Irish Ceili Dancing

Bio:
Katie Cox has been involved in Irish dance for nearly 15 years. She is a retired championship dancer and the first person in the state of Alabama to hold both the TMRF and TCRG certifications from CLRG, the Irish Dancing Commission in Dublin, Ireland. She runs a full-service Irish dancing studio in Birmingham, training dancers of all ages in traditional Irish dancing and coaching them to high placements at championship events.
Course Description:
Participants in this class will learn the fundamentals of traditional Irish dancing and some fancy footwork. We will be studying Ceili dancing, Ireland's oldest form of dancing, frequently danced at social events and gatherings. Students of all ages and experience levels will have a great time learning Irish dancing and will have learned some jigs and reels to show off too!

Extra supplies fee: none
Please bring: Students should wear clothes they will be comfortable dancing in and comfortable shoes (ie., sneakers). You may also want to bring a refillable water bottle.
