Camp McDowell Christmas Card for 2008

| Camp McDowell is once again giving our friends the opportunity to contribute to the Camp McDowell Scholarship Fund. We are blessed to have the generous support of so many people who help grow and nurture this wonderful Christian community. Each year contributions to the Camp McDowell Scholarship Fund help make it possible for more than 470 underprivileged children to be campers at Summer Camp, the McDowell Environmental Center, “Special Session” for campers with special needs, and our camp for children infected with the HIV/AIDS virus. These children need the opportunity to experience God’s grace in a safe and beautiful environment and they have come to depend on the continuing support of their brothers and sisters in Christ. |

While Camp McDowell remains one of the most affordable camps in the country, it is still necessary to provide financial assistance to those in need. This calendar year, over $82,000 in scholarships were awarded to campers. Because Camp McDowell is serious about our commitment to evangelism and outreach, our scholarship needs continue to increase. Therefore, it is imperative that we continue to build a substantial Scholarship Fund to help us in these efforts.
As we look towards the celebration of the birth of Jesus, we are reminded of the special needs of our children. What more appropriate Christmas gift could there be than to help send a child to “Wonderful, Wonderful Camp McDowell!” Camp McDowell will send a beautiful Christmas card to those who you would like to honor, informing them that a gift has been given in their name to the Camp McDowell Scholarship Fund. Please consider a generous gift to the children of your church family. |
