Applying to Attend Camp
Check the schedule to find the camp and dates you wish to attend. There are two registration options: online or by mail.
Both the online and mail-in option require a non-refundable deposit with your registration. |

Read the following Camp rules and choose which application option you want at the bottom (you are expected to know and understand these rules):
1. Attendance, Arrival/Pickup, Visitors, and Contacting your camper
- Campers are expected to be present for the entire session. Any exceptions will be handled on an individual basis by the Session Director. PLEASE CONTACT CAMP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
- If circumstances prevent your camper from attending, please call Camp immediately so that someone else can have your space.
- Campers are expected to arrive on opening day between 2 and 5 PM. Registration will not begin until 2 PM. Campers will not be able to enter Camp before 2 PM.
- Campers should be picked up on closing day between 8:30 and 9:30 AM.
- Visitors are welcome only on opening and closing days of each session.
- Campers may make telephone calls only in cases of emergency, and parents are asked to call Camp only in cases of emergency.
- You may send emails to your camper via paula@campmcdowell.com . They will be printed out and distributed once a day.
2. Insurance
- Insurance costs are covered in the session fee and protect all campers while traveling to and from camp and throughout the session.
- The maximum benefits are: Sickness, $1000; Accidents, $2500; and Loss of Life, $2500.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for expenses in excess of these amounts.
3. Health Care
- Routine health care is provided by a registered nurse on staff.
- If additional care is needed, the camper will be taken to a medical facility. Parents will be contacted as soon as possible.
- All medications must be checked in by the medical staff at the time of registration.
- Campers must bring all of their own over the counter (OTC) and prescription medications.
- Camp McDowell can no longer provide any medications, including aspirin!
- All mediactions will be kept in the HealtHut and dispensed by the medical staff.
- All over the counter and prescription medications must be in their original container! No exceptions.

Episcopalians of other dioceses and campers of other denominations are encouraged to apply. These registrations will be held in order of their receipt and accepted on a “space available” basis after April 1.
ONLY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN CAN FILL OUT AN APPLICATION.

Black Belt Book Program
We ask all campers to please bring at least one new or used book to camp this summer for the Black Belt Book Program. Your donation will be distributed through the public school system to the children of the Black Belt. THANK YOU!
