We're going to have a wonderful, wonderful time at Camp McDowell this summer. We have an enthusiatic staff who will make your camp experience a memorable and fun time.  People of all races and traditions are welcomed with love and joy at Camp McDowell!

CAMP MCDOWELL - THE HEART OF THE DIOCESE

    Since 1948, Camp McDowell has been a vital gathering spot for the Diocese of Alabama. It is on the banks of Clear Creek, nestled in beautiful woodlands adjacent to the Bankhead National Forest. Former campers will tell you that Camp McDowell is a supportive Christian community where young people learn to be themselves, and where they develop an abiding respect for the integrity and individuality of all living things. Camp is fun, too!
