WATERFRONT DIRECTOR AND LIFEGUARDS JOB DESCRIPTION The Waterfront Director supervises all lifeguards and is responsible for the safety and organization of all activities at the pool and creek. The Waterfront Director is also responsible for the cleaning of the pool, the pool deck and the pool bathrooms. The pool must be swept and vacuumed at least once a week and the pool deck should be cleared of all trash and debris daily. The Waterfront Director is also responsible for administering and keeping a record of swim tests for all campers. Lifeguard certification, as well as Red Cross Professional Rescuer Certification is required for all lifeguards. The Waterfront Director is accountable to the Head Counselor and the Summer Camp Counselor. Specific duties of the Waterfront Director and the Lifeguards are as follows:
