WORKPEOPLE (MALE AND FEMALE) JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary job of the Workpeople is to perform camp maintenance, grounds keeping, and garbage removal. They may also be asked to be Cabin Counselors during some sessions. It is the expectation that the work people enter fully into the life of the camp session at times when they are not doing maintenance work. Workpeople are responsible to the SCC, Head Counselor and the maintenance supervisor.

Specific Duties include:

  • cutting grass and weed eating
  • collecting garbage and recycling materials
  • help with construction projects
  • set-up and clean-up at pasture parties
  • clearing trails and fence lines
  • working in the camp garden
  • help in office
  • help in the kitchen

Workpeople need to be able to:

  • do hard, physical work in hot weather
  • receive instruction and follow direction
  • understand that they are expected to participate in the larger community whenever possible
