Expedition One: Cahaba River Canoe
Cost: $295
When: May 27th - May 30th
For: Rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders
Placing steady paddle strokes on the smooth flowing waters, cooking meals right along the river bank, and then going to sleep to the sounds of the flowing water and to millions of stars twinkling overhead. These are just a few of the things you have the chance to do if you come explore one of the most beautiful stretches of river Alabama has to offer, the Cahaba. We will spend a day preparing before loading the trailer and heading to the put-in. From there we will let the river do a lot of the work as we make our way downstream.

Expedition Two: Cave, Climb, Canyon
Cost: $305
When: June 2nd - June 6th
For: Rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders
Have you ever climbed up a tall rock face or slid down a belly crawl in a cave? We get to do both on this trip! We are blessed in Alabama to have some of the finest caving and rock climbing in the southeastern US. Here is a chance to see what all our great state has to offer. In this trip you also get the opportunity to explore one of the most pristine canyons this side of the Mississippi; Little River Canyon.

Expedition Three: Family in the Forest
Cost: $85/person
When: June 20th - 22th
For: Rising 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders +1 parent
Back again by popular demand this expedition allows for fun opportunities for both young and old alike. One parent plus their child will get the chance to explore parts of Camp McDowell not often seen by many. Days spent hiking, exploring, swimming at Tillers swimming hole, evenings cooking over the open grill, and nights sleeping out under the stars are just a few of the things we will be doing. We ask only one parent per child please.

Expedition
Appalachian Whitewater
Cost: $400/person
When: July 10th - 15th
For: Rising 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders
Here is a chance to beat the heat in the dog days of summer by staying wet and cool. We head north to the Carolinas to take in the beautiful Green River gorge outside of Hendersonville, NC. One day we will be enjoying a lazy float down the lower Green. The next day will be an exciting inflatable kayak adventure on the class II-III Upper Green. Finally we hit the exciting conclusion of our trip whitewater rafting the class III-IV Ocoee river in Tennessee. Don’t forget your swimsuit.

Expedition Five: Pack and Raft
Cost: $305
When: July 26th - August 1st
For: Rising 8th, 9th, and 10th graders
Our most popular trip from last year is back again! Enjoy the beauty of the Southern Appalachians on both foot and by raft. We will be spending 4 beautiful days hiking along the longest foot path in the Eastern United States, the Appalachian Trail. At trails end we will take the time to soothe sore muscles and tired feet in the cool waters of the Nantahala River. These same refreshing waters will also carry us along through our exciting class II-III whitewater adventure.
